Greek-Inspired Air Fryer Chicken
Some dinners just work. This Greek-inspired air fryer chicken is one of them — easy overnight marinade, 8–10 minutes in the air fryer, and it goes with pretty much everything. My picky eaters approve, and honestly, that’s the highest compliment a recipe can get.
Ingredients

Here’s what goes into the marinade:
- 1 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1–1½ tsp Kinder Greek seasoning
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp water
The Overnight Marinade
Start by chunking your chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mix all the marinade ingredients together in a bowl first — then add the chicken and toss to coat.

Add the chicken to the marinade and toss until everything is well coated.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Even 2–3 hours will work if you’re short on time, but overnight is where the magic happens.

Air Fryer Instructions
When you’re ready to cook, pull the chicken out of the fridge and let it sit for a few minutes while your air fryer preheats.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for 3–5 minutes.
- Spread the marinated chicken in a single layer in the basket. Don’t overcrowd — work in batches if needed.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Chicken is done when cooked through with lightly caramelized edges.

What I Serve It With
Full disclosure: not everything needs to be homemade. Here’s the full plate situation at my house:
- Yellow rice — I use Mahatma brand and it pairs perfectly with the turmeric notes in the chicken
- Store-bought hummus — your favorite brand, no judgment
- High-protein pita bread — pile the chicken right on top
- Creamy garlic sauce (toum) — drizzle it on everything
The Side Salad
I throw together a quick salad with tomato, cucumber, and red onion. I’m not a feta person so I use parmesan instead — it works great, and my family actually eats it. I like Olive Garden Light Italian dressing on mine, but honestly, use whatever you have. There’s no wrong answer here.
That’s the whole dinner. It comes together fast (especially when the chicken is already marinated), it looks good on a plate, and everyone in my house eats it without complaint — which is honestly the real win.
